Bison French Dip


  • 1 Bison roast (any size or cut)
  • 1 pkg Lipton onion soup mix
  • Water (1/4 - 1 Cup depending on size of the roast)


  • Place roast in cooking bag or dutch oven.
  • Sprinkle soup mix over top
  • Pour water over all, making certain that the mix is not washed off the top of the roast
  • Place in 275 - 300 degrees F.
  • Cook to suit your taste
  • Be certain to cover tightly
  • A delicious juice will form. You may thicken with cornstarch for gravy or serve as is.
  • Slice roast thin and serve on french roll with a copy of au jus on the side.
