CBA Board Elects Les Kroeger for 3rd Term as Board Chair
December 9, 2021 - Regina Saskatchewan – Long-time Bison producer Les Kroeger was elected Canadian Bison Association (CBA) Board Chair and President for a third term at the CBA Board meeting on December 7th, 2021.
Together with his wife Kathy, they have a grass-based cow-calf operation where in addition to marketing live animals, they market bison products locally. Les is also the Chair of the International Bison Convention organization which is expected to attract over 500 bison enthusiasts from North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand to Saskatoon in July of 2022.
“It is an honour and privilege for me to serve a third term as CBA Board Chair” Les stated. “Although we have been working through some difficult times in the industry, working with people who have a passion for the animal and the industry makes my role a pleasure as I work with like-minded people wanting to grow the industry while focusing on sustainability” he added.
The Executive Committee remains the same with Steven Lunty from Alberta elected as Vice-chair, Richard Allan as the East Zone Representative and Doreen Neilly from Alberta as the West Zone Representative.
The Canadian Bison Association is a national association representing the interests of the bison industry and its 550 members in Canada.
