After several years in the hospitality industry, Carl decided to pursue a career change and graduated from a professional management program with Deloitte & Touche. After which, he entered the transportation and logistics industry and progressed quickly through several key management roles with the Yanke Group of Companies and later the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool. During this time, he continued his studies and earned a professional logistics designation.
Carl later brought his experience in senior management positions, marketing, logistics and corporate re-engineering to the FarmPure Family of Companies. There, as a senior executive, he was instrumental in growing and diversifying the business; marketing pedigreed seed products, developing value added food products and establishing agri-value chains across five continents. He then transitioned to the not-for profit sector as Executive Director of the Electronics Products Recycling Association and later as General Manager of the University of Regina Students’ Union representing over 16,000 student members.
He has served as director on several boards including the Saskatchewan Trade Export Partnership and the Saskatchewan Food Industry Development Centre Inc. He currently sits on the boards of Saskatchewan Food Inspection Services Inc. and Saskatchewan Technology Renewal Inc. (Computers for Schools).
