Marcel brings very diverse background to the CBA team that includes experience in government, private sector and non-government organizations. This experience has also included residing in various locations throughout Canada including Regina, Ottawa, Calgary and Yorkton. Although his University of Regina studies focused on business management and finance, his engagement with people has always been one of his strengths and preferences. He was raised in a small Saskatchewan town with an attachment to the family farm since the age of 12. This rural Saskatchewan connection gained the respect of his peers in Ottawa as he was selected as the only qualified person within the organization to drive a large moving van from Ottawa to Toronto’s Rogers’s Centre for a function, despite having never driven in the city of Toronto before. He enjoyed the experience, and like a typical guy from the prairies, he had that “get ‘er done” attitude. Even though he has recently re-located to Regina, his connection with the rural folks and lifestyle will remain with him.
