The Canadian Bison Association Board Re-Elects Sharif Fahmy as Board Chair and President.
At its meeting of December 5, 2017, the Canadian Bison Association Board of Directors re-elected Sharif Fahmy to serve for a third term as Board Chair and President.
Sharif got involved in the bison industry in 2012 and has been a passionate supporter of the bison industry focusing on promoting and supporting the industry. In his business Tatanka Plains, Sharif raises bison in the interior of BC and markets animals to select clients in the Fraser Valley.
“Again it is an honour to be able to serve the industry in capacity of President and Board Chair for a third year. I have learned much and must acknowledge the support of the membership and the directors over the past year” stated Sharif. “I must also recognize the continued support of my family” Sharif added.
Elected to the Executive Committee were Les Kroeger from the Saskatchewan as the Vice-chair and Todd Dowd from Ontario as the East Zone Representative and Glenn Kjemhus from Alberta as the West Zone Representative.
