Canadian Bison National Show and Sale November 22, 2021.

November 23, 2021, Regina Saskatchewan The Canadian Bison Association National Show and Sale was held on the evening of November 22nd, 2021, in Regina.

The Grand Champion Bull consigned by Silver Creek Bison of Binscarth Manitoba topped the sale at $21,500. The Bull was sold to Windy Hills Bison of Michigan USA. Silver Creek Bison also received the Show and Sale Premier Breeder Award.

The Reserve Grand Champion Bull was consigned by Roaming K Bison and sold for $8,000 to Hidden Bison Ranch in Minnesota.

The 1st-Place bred heifer was consigned by Silver Creek Bison and was sold to Windy Hills Bison of Michigan USA.

Sale Averages were:

  • 2019 Bulls: $8,406.25
  • 2020 Bulls: $4,069.23 2019
  • Single Bred Heifers: $4,275.00
  • 2019 Bred Pens of two Bred Heifers: $3,511.71 2020
  • Yearlings: $2,287.50
  • 2020 Yearling Pens of Two Heifers: $2,520.00

“We were very pleased with the interest in the sale. There were 50 active bidders in the room with 60 online bidding on 66 bison” indicated Keegan Kitzul, Canadian Bison Association National Show and Sale Chair. The interest in excellent bison genetics remains high he added.
