William Silver Obituary

William (Bill) Silver, died 3 May 2020 of cancer at the age of 87. He leaves to mourn his wife and farming partner Hilary Ryan as well as a son and daughter, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. As a child his first job was working for his Uncle Bill on the farm. He learned what hard work was, and never lost his love for farming. He was the one who decided when we retired that we should buy a farm and raise bison, starting in 2007, and it is his name in our farm's name - Silver Stream Bison Farm (Saskatchewan). Bill thought that bison were amazing animals and loved talking to people about them and about how healthy the meat is. He handed out business cards and persuaded a lot of people to buy our farmgate meat. He enjoyed chatting with other producers at the CBA meetings. His strength, persistence and enthusiasm are very much missed
