Children’s Program at National Convention

The agenda that has been developed for the 36th Annual Convention offers great networking and learning opportunities for producers and their families. With this in mind, the Children’s Program has been extended to cover the Sunday morning presentations. There are a number of active Canadian Bison Association members who have young children and want to make convention attendance a family event. A children’s program for ages 3 – 12 years is again being offered and will allow both parents to attend more of the convention activities.

Partner with Us: Sponsorship Packages

The Canadian Bison Association has been hosting conventions for over 35 years. We are a membership of 540 bison enthusiasts and growing. Our members live in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec and the United States As a national association we gather once a year at the start of the Western Canadian Agribition to learn, network and celebrate the success of our members and their families. The 2019 convention will take place in Regina, Saskatchewan at the Ramada Plaza.

The convention takes place Sunday, Monday and Tuesday for members and bison enthusiasts across the Canada and the United States. There are presentations Sunday and Monday covering a variety of topics related to the industry, marketing, nutrition, the bison community, and conservation. Sunday Evening we have a Bison Taste Test and a Fun Auction. This event allows attendees to taste the many ways bison can be cooked for wonderful meals. Monday is reserved for our AGM with Monday night being reserved for our banquet and awards to recognize the achievements of our producers.

The finale of this great event is the Canadian Bison Association National Show and Sale. We have a show of nearly 100 animals which includes both two-year old bulls, yearling bulls, open heifers and bred two-year olds. The Bison are housed in the barns next to the John Deere Sale Arena. . You can then view the animals at the barns and through video presentations shown throughout the banquet. The bison are sold through video auction on Tuesday morning in the John Deere Sale Arena.

As a sponsor you will be able to target members and public from British Columbia to Quebec. There are many ways to sponsor this event. We would love your support. There are opportunities to distribute samples, talk about your company, new products and services. Sponsorship provides exposure and awareness to the attendees, speakers, researchers & government officials.

The Canadian Bison Association also offers a Children's Program on Sunday and Monday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm to children ages 3 to 12 years of age. In this program we offer different activities such as bowling, movies, museums, science center etc. while their parents are attending the conference sessions. Junior Judging is held Monday afternoon for teens and young adults to learn more about bison. They will become the future leaders of the industry and members of the association. They work with our judges to identify those animal characteristics to consider for their future herds.

There is a large networking opportunity for new and loyal contacts plus an opportunity for face to face meetings to gather contact information and make appointments. Together we can grow a team and build a partnership for the Canadian Bison Association members across Canada and our sponsors.

Please review the options we offer in our sponsorship package. One of the Board Members and/or Staff would be pleased meet with you to answer your questions and confirm the details of your sponsorship. The Canadian Bison Association would like to thank you in advance for meeting with us to review the opportunity be a part our convention and this dynamic industry.
