I am Moritz Espy I have been working here at 777 Ranch near Rapid City South Dakota since 2005. I served 6 years on the Dakota Territory Buffalo Association Board and served 4 years as President. I’m currently NBA region 3 (Montana, South Dakota, and North Dakota. I look forward to serving on the CBA Board. 777 Ranch is a grassfed operation but i do understand the grain finishing side as well. I also believe that grass or grain cannot exist without the other. I also do not like when one producer or marketer needs to undercut another for a sale. I like transparent dealings, and lead any of my dealings with a win-win or no deal philosophy. I grew up on a cattle ranch in Montana. I did do some custom haying Saskatchewan in late 90s and early 2000s. I enjoyed Regina Buffalo Days. I wish you would bring back SCTV and Molson Ice. I have also imported animals from Canada and exported animals from the ranch to Canada. I don’t know all the pitfalls but I have had a taste. I look forward to learning more and making more friends in the CBA. Please feel free to visit with me at anytime.
