First Place Winner in the Hors d'eouvres/Sandwiches Category of the 2011 Recipe Roundup

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground bison meat, browned
  • Sauté: 1 large onion
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 1 large can of diced tomatoes
  • 14 oz can pork & beans
  • 1 can mushroom pieces
  • 1 can chili style beans
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper

Instructions:
Mix all the above and place in slow cooker to heat.

Before serving, soften 8 oz cream cheese and mix with approximately 2 cups of chili. Serve with a side bowl of plain or zesty tacos for dipping.
