Maple Glazed Bison Skewers

Maple Glazed Bison Skewers

1 lb bison sirloin cut into 1 inch cubes

Soak wood skewers in cold water for at least 30 minutes

Bison Marinate:

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Pinch dried chilies
  • 1/2 tsp minced garlic
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg

Bison Brush Syrup:

  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • Pinch dried chilies
  • 1/2 tsp coarse salt
  • Pepper

Method

  • Make Bison Marinate by whisking ingredients together
  • Marinate at least 1 hour; no longer than 8 hours (meat may get tough)
  • Skewer the marinated bison onto 4 skewers
  • Mix ingredients for Bison Brush Syrup
  • Grill Skewers on BBQ, brushing Bison Syrup as you turn the skewers
  • Cook until desired doneness
